When I was little my mom had one of these and she loved it, except when I was using it I sucked up something and the power head caught fire....we had to get a new vacuum, guess my mom didn't want it anymore.
WOW I remember when I was a kid my mother had on of these. I remember it because she traded it in on a upright that she didn't think cleaned as good once she got it home and couldn't get the Kenmore back because the dealer sold it to somone the same day. She was pissed about that a long time. There really were powerfull vacuums.
Hey Chad. I have both the 1977 and 1978 models. all of the sear's best canister power mates from 1974-1980 had the wider bumper. and the opitional cord clip for power nozzle or the the one built on the handle. i have the owner's manual for the all blue model 2 below this one if you would like i can make a copys of it for you
Yeah it's in good conditon yes. And the fact that up unitl about a month more or less ago, it was their primary and ONLY vacum besides an old ShopVac. Remember old women owned it, so it was taken VERY well care of. As to the bags, yeah I may tap you in the future for a few. I would gladly pay you. Thanks Chad
I have one of these and still use it. It cleans better than a Kirby "HEHEHE".
BalasHapusdamn man u vacuum way to fast

BalasHapusI'm debating to pay 35 dollars for one of these, but I wish it was the brown one to match the upright I have.

BalasHapusthe bags are still available from Sears, they're the Ultracare Type E's. I don't know what that salesguy was thinking
BalasHapusforgot to add its model 2299, if that makes it worth anymore
BalasHapusI currently see one of these on craigslist for $10 that looks just like that, do you think it's worth it? Idk if it has attachments

BalasHapusYeha they are fairly awesome for the time, and still rather state of the art if you look at what's going on today. Thanks for the comment.
