You're very welcome! Why not tweet and follow us @govacuums you can even win a vacuum in our Twitter contest!
BalasHapusDidn't realize how easy it is to fix this vacuum. Had this sitting in my garage for over a year and I even bought a new vacuum cleaner. Looked at this video to find out that my flat belt was torn in half for whatever reason. Ordered the part and waiting for it to come in! thanks for the video Chris.
BalasHapusMy brother in law works at a large mall. One store tossed out their windtunnel AND their bissel steam cleaner. They said they didn't work..and the reason? BELTS! I now have two almost new machines, for free, and thanks to your video, I replaced the belts with ease...Thank You!
BalasHapusThanks so much for this video it really helped me!
BalasHapuslol you guys are awesome! Got my belt right after you posted this and thanks to this video it's fixed! Boyfriend, however, has not been replaced but got a good talking to. Thanks so much for all your help!
BalasHapusThe belt is burnt. Follow these steps: #1 replace boyfriend (optional), #2 order a new belt from Govacuum dot com, #3 install new belt (see instruction manual for directions or call us), #4 Keep curtains away from the vacuum & tell everyone you know about GoVacuum dot com... :)
BalasHapusI just got my Hoover WindTunnel Pet yesterday and used it for the first time today. I loved it so much my boyfriend wanted to try it out and ran over the curtains... He freaked and couldn't remember how to turn it off, (bonehead) the vacuum was smoking by the time I got there. Now it makes a really loud sound when I turn it on. What do you think he broke and how can I fix this!?!?! Help!
BalasHapusNice job on the video. Thanks.
BalasHapusBecause our prices are great! :)
BalasHapusPlease do! 14500-g Lee Road Chantilly, VA 20151
BalasHapusTHANK YOU!! I spent about 10 dollars to fix my vacuum thanks to you! 8 dollars for 2 filters and 2 dollars for 2 belts. Replaced the filter and belt (with help from your video) and now my vacuum works great!! My husband thinks I am a genius thanks to you! LOL
BalasHapusMy grandma thought that the belt on her Windtunnel broke except she had it on hard floor so the brushroll would not spin. LOL
BalasHapusthanks!
BalasHapusYes, it very well could fix the power drive issue. The power drive unit relies on one of the two belts that fit this vacuum part #'s 38528035 & 38528034. Both ship for free from GoVacuum dot com
BalasHapusdoes this help with the self propel problem? the problem with my vacuum is the self propel stopped working. will changing these 2 belts fix that?
BalasHapusThis is a great video! Thanks so much for posting. I was able to change the belt myself. I'm in the DC area, so when it's time for a new vacuum, I will definitely come by!
BalasHapusnice video, thanks for the part numbers too!
BalasHapusTHANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO!!!!!!! You just saved me an $85 repair bill at shop. There was a burning smell coming from my vacuum, and after watching this video, I was brave enough to open it up and inspect the 2 belts. They both looked fine. Then I checked the bearing (?), that metal rod inside the roller brush....total wrapped up in hair and dust and the roller was not spinning freely. When I cleaned it all up, the vacuum worked as good as new! You guys rock!
BalasHapusThe Idler shaft is the motor... you might want to call us! 888-468-2210
BalasHapusMy belts and rollar are fairly new, but it looks like the shaft of my idler assemby is too loose. Got a video that shows how to replace that?
BalasHapusIf you need help feel free to call us 888-468-2210
BalasHapusOops.. thanks CHRIS!! Sorry.
BalasHapusMy vacuum worked for 2 minutes, then had that burning smell. It's christmas, so i'll figure it out tomorrow maybe...
Yippee! I changed both belts, and the roller brush myself! =) I've always hated this vacuum, because of the costly repairs. Hopefully, I can repair it myself, until I can afford a new one. Thank you Eric!
BalasHapusbut when i changed the belts the vacuum kept burning them off and there was no hair and it was freely going
BalasHapusI bought a new drive belt and a new flat belt, but the new belt is too loose and wont catch the brush to spin it. If I turn the vaccum on, and take up the slack of the drive belt with the faceplate off, it catches and the brush will spin, but obviously I can't vacum with my finger in the drive belt. Any ideas? I double checked the part number to make sure I didn't buy the wrong belt. 3M is the brand of the belt that I got at Lowes, but it's supposed to be compatable. Any ideas?
